PRIMARY · 3RD–6TH GRADE
Spark an interest in language and literature with Superletras
Superletras is the Spanish Language and Literature program for 3rd to 6th grade that strengthens reading comprehension and written expression through project-based learning (PBL) and an integrated reading plan. By immersing students in real or fantasy challenges, educational games, and cooperative activities, the program sparks excitement about learning and lets students apply their language skills in a practical, motivating way.
Learning through projects (PBL) is more engaging and meaningful for your students. Superletras offers nine projects per grade with motivating, real-world themes.
Superletras includes strategies to improve reading comprehension, with graphic organizers and planning, monitoring, and evaluation activities that make reading a dynamic, original experience. Spark a love of reading!
Your students will improve their speaking and writing with real-world activities, learning centers, and spelling and grammar resources.
Deductive grammar, spelling, and other language conventions are taught through games and activities that stimulate creativity, improve writing, and strengthen language skills.
The Superletras reading plan includes three books per grade in different genres: adventure-filled stories that invite students to enjoy literature and experience it through activities that make reading immersive.
You’ll have tools for holistic, ongoing, and shared assessment: rubrics, target charts, guidance frameworks, tables, and other self-assessment tools that foster student independence.
Superletras integrates the Sustainable Development Goals into its activities so your students learn language arts while reflecting on real issues such as sustainability, equality, and caring for the environment. This way, they develop language skills while growing into critical, engaged citizens.
Methodological continuity
A new stage and new learning challenges
Superletras respects the natural process of learning to read and write, which begins and is consolidated with Ludiletras through 2nd grade, and supports students from 3rd grade onward. At this key moment, learning goals shift, and language and literature are taught through four core pillars:
